Disney Adventure: A New Era in Cruise Holidays
Disney Cruise Line has announced a delay in the launch of its eagerly awaited ship, Disney Adventure. Originally set to debut in December 2025, the ship will now set sail in March 2026. This change affects all voyages scheduled between 15th December 2025 and 9th March 2026, which have been cancelled.
Compensation for Affected Guests
Disney is committed to ensuring guest satisfaction despite the delay. Passengers booked on the cancelled cruises will receive a full refund. Additionally, they will enjoy a 50% discount on a future cruise. Those initially booked on the first voyage will be automatically rebooked for the new inaugural sailing on 10th March 2026. The future cruise credit must be used by 31st March 2026, for trips departing no later than 31st March 2027. If guests cannot make the new date, they can apply the discount to another itinerary. Disney has expressed apologies for the inconvenience and acknowledged the disappointment caused.
The Largest Disney Ship Yet
Disney Adventure is set to be the largest ship in the Disney fleet. Originally known as Global Dream, the vessel is being transformed into a Disney-themed marvel. Once completed, it will accommodate over 6,000 passengers. The ship will be based in Singapore, offering short “cruises to nowhere” for the Asian market.
Exciting Onboard Attractions
Disney Adventure promises a unique experience with its themed attractions. A highlight is the Marvel-themed adventure zone on the upper decks. It will feature the Ironcycle Test Run, the longest rollercoaster at sea, alongside Pym Quantum Racers and Groot Galaxy Spin. Families can also enjoy a Toy Story water park and a Moana-inspired pool area with live performances.
Entertainment and Dining
The ship will host a variety of entertainment options. Disney Imagination Garden will feature stage shows like “Avengers Assemble!” and the “Let’s Set Sail” dance party. At the ship’s aft, Disney Discovery Reef will bring beloved characters from The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Luca to life. New venues include a sports bar, Cosmic Kebabs eatery, and Bewitching Boba and Brews bubble tea bar.
Unique Neighbourhoods
Guests can explore San Fransokyo Street, inspired by Big Hero 6. This area will offer teen hangouts, Baymax cinemas, shops, and hidden entrances to kids’ clubs. The Town Square neighbourhood will complete the experience with themed dining venues, Broadway-style productions at the Walt Disney Theatre, and Spellbound, a dramatic lounge inspired by the Evil Queen.
Disney Adventure is set to redefine cruise holidays with its innovative design and attractions. Despite the delay, the ship promises an unforgettable experience for all who step aboard.
