Exciting Changes for Seven Seas Navigator
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced a significant transformation for the Seven Seas Navigator. This 490-guest ship will soon embark on a new journey. It will be chartered for nine years to a luxury residential cruise venture, marking its departure from the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet.
Introducing Avora Lumina
In January 2028, the Seven Seas Navigator will transition to Avora Residences. It will be renamed Avora Lumina. This change is part of a deal with Residential Cruise Holdings, the creators of Villa Vie Residences and operators of Villa Vie Odyssey. Before this transition, the ship will continue its voyages with Regent Seven Seas, exploring Europe, the South Pacific, and East Asia.
Transforming for Residential Living
Once it joins Avora, the ship will undergo a major refurbishment. The aim is to support long-term residential living. Public areas will be redesigned for full-time residents. A dedicated business centre will be added, catering to those working at sea. Mikael Petterson, founder of Avora Residences, describes Avora Lumina as a vessel built for long-duration global living and a refined residential experience.
Customisable Floating Homes
Currently, the ship boasts 244 all-suite cabins, with 90% featuring private balconies. These will be transformed into 242 residential units. Avora emphasises personalisation, allowing owners to customise their onboard homes. These residences will range from 300 to nearly 1,200 square feet, offering high-end finishes and stunning ocean views.
Embarking on Three-Year World Voyages
Avora Lumina will follow a model similar to Villa Vie Residences. It will embark on continuous three-year world voyages. The ship will visit around 140 countries and over 400 ports. Extended port stays of up to five days will allow residents to explore destinations in depth. With polar certification, the vessel can also sail to remote regions like Antarctica.
Culinary Delights at Sea
Culinary experiences will be a highlight of the Avora Lumina. Regionally inspired menus and locally sourced ingredients will be featured. Curated food and wine experiences will reflect each destination visited. This focus on cuisine will enhance the overall residential cruise experience.
Ownership Options
Prospective buyers will have two purchasing options. One is the Life-of-Ship Ownership, offering a unique opportunity to own a floating home. This innovative concept is set to redefine luxury living at sea.
