Introducing ELEGANT: A New Era in Luxury Cruising
VidantaWorld Voyages is set to redefine luxury cruising with the launch of ELEGANT, an ultra-luxury yacht. Starting its Mediterranean journeys on 11th April 2026, ELEGANT promises a more spacious and leisurely experience compared to traditional cruise ships and smaller luxury vessels. This new ship will offer seven-night itineraries until 2nd October 2026, with plans to return for another European season from May to September 2027.
Unique Itineraries and Extended Stays
ELEGANT’s itineraries are crafted to highlight the beauty of the French Riviera, Spanish Coast, Azores and Portugal, Greek Islands, Adriatic Sea, and Italian Shores. Unlike conventional cruises, ELEGANT focuses on longer stays ashore, overnight calls, and late departures. This approach allows guests to enjoy evening dining, local nightlife, and entertainment, offering a richer experience of each destination.
Spacious and Unhurried Onboard Experience
A standout feature of ELEGANT is its low guest count. Originally designed for over 600 passengers, the ship now accommodates just 216 guests. This reduction creates a more open and relaxed environment. The extra space is used for larger accommodations, expansive lounges, and multiple dining venues, replacing the traditional main dining room.
Exceptional Service and Luxury Amenities
ELEGANT boasts a near 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, ensuring personalised service. Butler service is included in the highest accommodation categories, enhancing the luxury experience. Ivan Chavez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta, emphasises the focus on redefining luxury at sea by prioritising space and service.
Luxury Resort Features at Sea
ELEGANT extends the Vidanta hospitality model to the sea, drawing from the group’s expertise in luxury resorts in Mexico. The ship’s suites and staterooms offer a residential feel, with select Governor’s and Presidential Suites featuring additional bathrooms for third-occupancy guests or entertaining. Approximately one-third of the accommodations include butler service, provided by highly trained staff.
Inaugural Voyage and Beyond
The inaugural voyage will depart from Funchal in Madeira. VidantaWorld Voyages has crafted this product for travellers who value the style and pace of travel as much as the destinations. ELEGANT promises a high-end experience with the flexibility that today’s luxury travellers desire.
