Carnival Unveils Major Dining Expansion With New Restaurants, Bars And Fleetwide Food Upgrades

Carnival Cruise Line has announced an extensive new dining programme that will introduce a range of restaurants, bars and upgraded food experiences across its fleet, while also debuting several brand-new venues aboard its next generation of ships.

The initiative, called The Next Course, will see new culinary concepts launch on the upcoming Carnival Festivale in 2027 and Carnival Tropicale in 2028, alongside a series of dining enhancements that are already being rolled out across the wider fleet.

The cruise line says the new offerings have been developed using insights gained from serving more than six million guests annually and preparing over 100 million meals each year, giving it a unique perspective on changing dining preferences and emerging food trends.

Carnival formally unveiled the programme during a special event in New Orleans hosted by Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse, offering guests and industry attendees a preview of the cruise line’s future food and beverage strategy.

New Restaurants And Bars Planned For Future Ships

Among the headline additions are several new specialty dining venues that will debut on Carnival Festivale and Carnival Tropicale.

Emeril’s Coastal Seafood will bring a menu focused on coastal-inspired dishes created by Emeril Lagasse, while Uku Lei Lei will blend Hawaiian-inspired cuisine with a selection of Asian favourites.

Another new concept, Fetaccine, will offer Mediterranean flavours, combining traditional Italian dishes with Greek specialities.

Carnival Festivale will also be home to Le Bistro Musicale, an exclusive restaurant featuring classic French cuisine served in a Paris-inspired setting enhanced by live music and entertainment.

The ship will additionally introduce several new bar concepts designed to create more immersive onboard experiences.

The Spark is planned as an energetic lounge venue featuring live performances alongside cocktails inspired by famous songs. Mix will allow guests to customise drinks by combining flavours and ingredients to create personalised cocktails, while Festival Grounds Coffee & Bar will serve speciality coffees during the day and cocktails in a lively social atmosphere later in the evening.

Dining Upgrades Expanding Across The Fleet

In addition to the new restaurants and bars, Carnival is introducing a number of enhancements that will reach ships across the fleet.
