Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled nine sailings aboard the Carnival Jubilee between August and December 2027, citing revised operational plans. The affected voyages were scheduled to depart from Galveston, offering guests six- to eight-night itineraries to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas.
The cancelled sailings include departures on 15th August, 21st August, and 29th August 2027, followed by voyages scheduled for 12th September, 18th September, and 26th September 2027. Additional cancellations affect the 7th November 2027 sailing, along with departures on 5th December and 11th December 2027.
The changes impact passengers who had booked cruises during what would typically be a busy late-summer and autumn period for Carnival’s Galveston operations. The LNG-powered vessel has established itself as one of the flagship vessels sailing year-round from the Texas port since entering service.
Carnival has not provided specific details about what operational adjustments necessitated the cancellations, though such revisions in the cruise industry typically stem from fleet-wide scheduling optimisations, drydock requirements, or strategic deployment decisions. The cancellations come as cruise lines continue to refine their deployment strategies in response to evolving market demands and operational considerations.

In a statement sent to affected guests, Carnival Cruise Line acknowledged the disruption and outlined compensation options designed to minimise inconvenience. “We have revised operational plans for the Carnival Jubilee and, unfortunately, your cruise has been cancelled,” the company stated.
The cruise line is offering passengers the ability to rebook on alternative Carnival sailings whilst protecting their current cruise rate. This rate protection applies when guests select a comparable sailing in similar accommodations, ensuring they won’t face price increases despite the involuntary change to their plans.
Beyond rate protection, Carnival is providing affected passengers with a $50 per person onboard credit for new reservations, with a maximum of $100 per stateroom. This onboard credit can typically be used for beverages, specialty dining, shore excursions, spa treatments, and other onboard purchases during the rescheduled voyage.
The company’s rebooking team has been made available to assist guests who wish to explore alternative sailing options. This personalised assistance aims to help passengers find suitable replacement cruises that align with their original travel dates and preferences as closely as possible.
