Carnival Cruise Line’s Response
Carnival Cruise Line has confirmed its full cooperation with the investigation. In a statement to US media, the cruise line emphasised its commitment to supporting the passenger’s family. Guests on Deck 8 received letters advising them to vacate their cabins early on disembarkation day. This was to allow investigators access to the area. A Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s van was seen at the port, indicating local officials have taken possession of the body. This suggests a thorough investigation is underway.

Despite the investigation, Carnival Horizon’s schedule remained largely unaffected. The ship departed slightly later than planned, with the FBI onboard until 5 pm. It has since embarked on its next voyage, an 8-night Southern Caribbean itinerary to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.
