Passengers embarking on the newly revitalised Celebrity Solstice are in for a treat. This ship, part of Celebrity Cruises’ fleet, has undergone a remarkable transformation. The refurbishment is part of a $250 million investment across the fleet. The 15-year-old vessel set sail from Singapore on 2nd March 2026, marking the first upgrade in the Solstice-class enhancement programme. This programme was first announced in March 2025. Currently, the ship is on a 12-night journey to Hong Kong, offering guests a range of new experiences.
New Dining and Entertainment Concepts
The Celebrity Solstice now boasts eight new experiences and four brand-new venues. Among these is Sunset Park, an open-air space on the top deck. It transitions from daytime activities like yoga and lawn games to evening social events with live music. Guests can enjoy private cabanas with dedicated attendants. The new Sunset Park Café offers breakfast and lunch, featuring sandwiches, quiches, pastries, salads, and wraps. Charcuterie boards are available all day. The adjacent Sunset Bar has also been expanded.
For dining, Trattoria Rossa introduces Roman and Southern Italian cuisine. The menu highlights seafood, meat dishes, and house-made pasta. Fine Cut Steakhouse, previously exclusive to the Edge Series ships, is now on board. It offers 30-day dry-aged steaks and premium seafood. Boulevard Lounge, a 125-seat entertainment venue, hosts piano singalongs, karaoke, and interactive game shows. Next door, Boulevard Bar offers a dedicated cocktail space.
Exciting New Shows and Activities
The ship’s main theatre now features two new productions. “Smoke and Ivories” draws inspiration from 1950s-era music, while “Rockumentary” is a concert-style rock show. A candlelit string concert series has also been introduced. The Parlor, another first for the brand, combines sport and gaming. It offers billiards, darts, and board games, along with a menu of shareable plates and desserts.
Enhanced Accommodation and Wellness
The refurbishment has brought significant changes to accommodation. The ship now offers 1,479 cabins, thanks to the addition of 54 new staterooms. Interiors have been redesigned, and suite spaces expanded. Among the new categories is the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite. This suite features a forward-facing view, providing guests with stunning vistas.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, stated, “Celebrity Solstice launched our Solstice Series ships and defined a generation of Celebrity Cruises travel. The reimagination honours that heritage while setting a new standard for what an elevated vacation can be.”
In summary, the Celebrity Solstice’s transformation offers a fresh and exciting experience for cruise holidaygoers. With new dining options, entertainment, and enhanced accommodation, it sets a new standard for luxury cruising. Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser or new to the experience, the revitalised Celebrity Solstice promises an unforgettable journey.
