Tragic Incident Aboard Icon of the Seas
On the evening of 24th July 2025, a distressing event unfolded on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. A crew member tragically went overboard near the Bahamas. Despite a swift rescue operation, the individual was later confirmed deceased.

The overboard alert was issued around 7 pm. The “Oscar” code, signalling a man overboard, echoed through the ship’s public address system. The massive vessel, weighing 248,663 gross tons, quickly altered its course. It reversed to the last known location of the crew member.

It has already visited St. Maarten and St. Thomas. The final stop is scheduled at Perfect Day at CocoCay on 25th July. No delays are expected.
