Exciting News for Larger Families: P&O Cruises Introduces Five-Berth Staterooms
P&O Cruises is making waves with its latest announcement. The UK-based cruise line is set to offer five-berth staterooms on three of its largest ships. This is a first for the company, providing a more convenient option for larger families.
New Accommodation Options on Popular Ships
Families of five can now stay together in a single cabin. Previously, they had to book two separate staterooms or opt for pricier suites. The new five-guest cabins will be available on the Britannia, Iona, and Arvia. These ships will start offering the new accommodation from July 2026.
Details of the New Staterooms
The Britannia will feature 12 Superior Deluxe Balcony cabins. The Iona and Arvia will each offer Conservatory Mini-Suites, with 23 and 15 cabins respectively. These rooms will include a fixed double bed, a double sofa bed, and a pull-down berth, depending on the layout.
Affordable Pricing for Families
P&O Cruises is simplifying pricing for these new staterooms. The fifth guest will pay no more than the standard rate for third and fourth guests. This makes it an affordable option for families looking to cruise together.
Arcadia and Aurora Welcome Families
In addition to the new staterooms, P&O Cruises is opening up Arcadia and Aurora to families. Traditionally adult-only, these ships will now host guests of all ages on selected voyages. Families can enjoy the classic cruising experience these ships offer, with family-friendly entertainment and dining.
Book Early to Secure Your Spot
With limited availability, P&O Cruises advises families to book early. The demand for these five-berth staterooms is expected to be high. This change reflects the growing interest from larger families and multi-generational groups wanting to travel together.
Plan Your Family Cruise Adventure
Bookings for these new staterooms open on 8th December 2025. Don’t miss the chance to experience a family cruise like never before. Keep an eye out for the latest P&O Cruises offers and start planning your next holiday at sea.
