Princess Cruises is set to enhance its Southern Caribbean offerings for 2027 and 2028. The cruise line is introducing Barbados as a new homeport. This change allows guests to embark on roundtrip journeys from either San Juan or Barbados.

Over 30 voyages will be available across 15 stunning destinations during these two seasons. The Crown Princess and Emerald Princess will operate these sailings. This expansion is particularly beneficial for UK and European travellers, thanks to direct flights to Barbados.

The addition of Barbados as a homeport makes the Southern Caribbean more accessible for British holidaymakers. Direct flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, and Birmingham simplify travel plans. Guests can book flights independently or through Princess Cruises’ Plane Sailing programme, which offers extra protection against flight delays.
Flexible Itineraries and Stunning Ports
Crown Princess will sail from January to March 2027, while Emerald Princess will take over from November 2027 to March 2028. Itineraries range from six to nine nights, with seven-night cruises being the most common. Every cruise will include a stop in San Juan, regardless of the departure port. Ports of call include Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and Tortola.

A seven-night Southern Caribbean cruise on Crown Princess, departing from Barbados, is priced from £699 per person. This cruise, which includes stops in San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Dominica, and Grenada, departs on 12th March 2027. Emerald Princess will offer a winter and spring programme from 2027 to 2028, including festive departures. A Christmas cruise departing on 24th December 2027 is available from £759 per person.
