Carnival Firenze Adds Third Casino For Adults-Only West Coast Sailings

Carnival Cruise Line is expanding gambling options aboard Carnival Firenze with a temporary third casino for a special series of adults-only sailings departing from Long Beach this autumn.

The additional gaming venue will operate exclusively during the ship’s SEA cruises, scheduled between October and November 2026. It will offer enhanced gambling opportunities on itineraries to the West Coast and Mexican Riviera.

The announcement, shared through the Carnival Players Club, confirms that the new non-smoking casino will supplement the ship’s existing two gambling venues. This expansion represents a significant enhancement to the vessel’s gaming infrastructure specifically tailored for the adults-only programme.

Carnival stated that the third gambling area will create additional opportunities for passengers to enjoy their preferred games whilst at sea. The temporary casino will feature extra slot machines and table games, providing guests with expanded gaming options throughout the special sailings.

Elite Players Club Members Receive Preferred Access

Members of the Carnival Players Club who have achieved Elite tier status will benefit from preferred access to the new gaming venue. This exclusive perk adds another layer of value to the cruise line’s loyalty programme, rewarding frequent gamblers with priority access to the expanded facilities.

The distinction recognises the contribution of high-tier players and offers them enhanced experiences during these specialised sailing dates. The preferred access arrangement aligns with Carnival’s broader strategy of providing tiered benefits to loyal casino patrons across its fleet.

Current Casino Configuration Aboard Vista-Class Ship

Carnival Firenze currently operates two distinct gambling areas, reflecting its Costa Cruises heritage. The main casino accommodates smokers, whilst a smaller, smoke-free casino caters to passengers who prefer a tobacco-free gaming environment.

Originally constructed for Costa Cruises as part of the Vista-class series, the vessel joined Carnival’s fleet with its Italian-themed design elements largely intact. The existing casino configuration has served the ship well since its transfer, though the upcoming SEA cruises warranted additional gaming capacity.

The decision to add a third casino venue, even temporarily, underscores the anticipated demand from gambling enthusiasts on these adults-only voyages. The non-smoking designation for the new casino also addresses the growing preference amongst cruise passengers for smoke-free gaming environments.

Cancelled Sailings Made Way For SEA Programme

Carnival cancelled a series of previously scheduled sailings aboard Carnival Firenze earlier this year to accommodate the new SEA cruises. The decision to restructure the ship’s deployment demonstrates the cruise line’s commitment to serving the casino-focused market segment.
