Oceania Cruises Launches Extensive New Programme Through 2029

Oceania Cruises has opened bookings for an extensive collection of more than 230 itineraries spanning the 2028 and 2029 cruise seasons.

The upscale cruise line’s programme features voyages ranging from seven-day getaways to epic 180-day world cruises, with sailings scheduled across six continents.

The new collection emphasises extended port stays, with more than 60 overnight calls included across the fleet’s global deployment.

Extended Port Stays Define New Collection

The 2028-2029 programme places significant emphasis on immersive destination experiences through overnight port stays.

Passengers will have the opportunity to spend extended time in major cities including Copenhagen, Lisbon, Bangkok, and Bali, allowing for deeper exploration beyond typical day-visit constraints.

The collection also features overnight calls in smaller, more intimate destinations such as Seville in Spain and Malé in the Maldives, providing guests with evening and late-night experiences rarely available on traditional cruise itineraries.

Record Mediterranean Deployment Planned

Oceania Cruises has scheduled more than 80 Mediterranean itineraries for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, representing the cruise line’s most extensive commitment to the region in its history.

The Mediterranean programme spans multiple countries and regions, from the historic ports of Italy and Greece to the coastal cities of Spain and Turkey.

Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises, emphasised the cruise line’s focus on meaningful travel experiences, noting that the expanded programme reflects a commitment to allowing guests sufficient time to truly experience destinations rather than merely visiting them.

Alaska and Asia Itineraries for Riviera

The Oceania Riviera will return to Alaskan waters during the summer 2028 season before repositioning to Asia for an extended deployment.

The ship’s Asian itineraries will showcase an enhanced focus on Japanese ports, including several rarely visited destinations that offer passengers opportunities to explore beyond the country’s major tourist centres.

Calls are scheduled for Kagoshima on Kyushu island, Ishigaki in the Ryukyu archipelago, and Miyazaki on Kyushu’s eastern coast, providing access to regions of Japan that receive limited cruise ship traffic.

Winter Mediterranean Season for Allura

The Oceania Allura will return to the Mediterranean for her second consecutive winter season deployment during 2028 and 2029.

Operating from November through March, the ship will explore an extensive range of destinations across Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain during the traditionally quieter Mediterranean winter months.

This deployment strategy allows passengers to experience Mediterranean destinations with fewer crowds and more moderate temperatures than the busy summer season typically offers.
